He has been Dr. Carl Misch’s partner and associate for many years and has relocated to South Florida. As a founding member of the prestigious Misch Implant Institute, and one of the main surgeon components for many years, he has done and placed over 10,000 implants over the years. He is an assistant, clinical professor at Temple University in the departments of Periodontics and Surgery.
Trained and Certified in IV sedation. He will be performing all Implant related surgical procedures for patients under IV sedation in this office.

We recognize that most patients don't like coming to the dentist, so we try and make the experience a bit more like a visit to someone's home. There are a number of ways that we handle patient fears and higher levels of anxiety.

Comfortable Injections: The injection is the most feared object in the dental office. Fortunately, Dr. Hernandez has developed a way of providing this needed procedure while making sure that it is acceptable and virtually pain free. We always apply a liberal amount of the anesthetic gel to make the needle undetectable. Sometimes, Dr. Hernandez will even freeze the area to be injected so the feeling of the injection is definitely never felt. If you would ever like to try this, please just let us know.
Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas): Sometimes all we need is a little extra help to achieve our objectives. The gas is sometimes all it takes, especially for ht injection. We understand that each person responds differently to dental procedures and know that we all have different levels of anxiety. This understanding helps us to re-assure you and control the increased anxiety.
Oral Medication: Also called Sedation Dentistry: This method has been used in the dentistry for many years but is just recently being disseminated to the public. Marketers have found a way for the public to know that it can be done this way, effectively and safely. Using certain medications, we can achieve a state of relaxation and possibly sleep that rivals only general anesthesia. The major benefit is that it is safer than general anesthesia but lasts quite a bit shorter. Patients will always be monitored and administered oxygen throughout the procedure.
Infection Control: We left this all too important subject for the end, but it is well worth it. We uphold only the highest, strictest methods of sterilization and sanitation for all our equipment, instruments and facility. Keep in mind, that we treat our family members in the same facility using the same instruments. in essence, all the patients are treated as we treat our own family. So , welcome to our family.
